👀 Wow pretty good. Thanks for cleaning it up. 8bit is good when it's EQ and stoof. The composition was pretty good as well.

Jumbs responds:

Thanks dude! Sometimes its good to let our ears guide us. Especially with 8bit. This stuff can be tricky!

I tihnk it's wonderful. I have 0 complaints about it. You're gonna go far in this competition, I can see.

TRASH. PURE TRASH.
IF TRASH WERE TO BE A GOOD THING. C:

Really interesting style though.

Dovax responds:

Thanks :3

Hey I love the style.

I can tell after this track your singing improved. You're squeezing in this and it csuses the flat notes. When you go higher don't use volume to reach it. Use your breath. You'll get vocal nodes for doing that too much. Also you were singing very choppy which is never good. I made that mistake as well. Also you should compress your vlcals better. I don't mean in mixing. I mean try to sing the same volume. It goes low and jumps. There wasn't really a lot of going on...and it was almost too empty. I can see what you were going for. Try adding more strings in the chorus. I think it'd be much better because it didn't do much with theine currently.

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks for the tips, Riy0! I do need to invest more time in my vocal skills, and also more time mixing vocals too. I appreciate your suggestions about the additional fill on the chorus. The piece was a bit rushed, admittedly. Thanks again for the review! ^^

I think it's OK.
The composition wasnt the most original. The voice isn't that bad - I like it. Some parts in the chorus went off beat. Unless you stretch it to perfect rhythm you'll find it is hard to sing everything on time. Lol

The mistake I think done with singing is that you chose to sing low. Most professional male singers are baritones/tenors because the higher notes make it seem more exciting. You may not always be able to sing what you compose but keep a chorus mostly above c4-F4 (fl c5-f5 since it's not octavely correct) to keep it exciting. It was also a mistake myself included made when I started singing.

Compose what Your voice can handle definitely. Remember you have falsetto and mix voice options.

For the mixing, it sounded good. I can't really make much comments on a mix. The value however, not much was going on. But honestly not much always have to be in a song to make it good. I hope ppl realize this.
Oh but the low notes were not good. You changed the tone but you should always use the same tone becuase itll sound like a different person. Also it went flat when you ddi that. So I recommend to keep same tone

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks for all the reviews, man! I definitely should've thought more about the range of my voice before composing this, haha. I agree that the composition isn't very original - it's a pop song, after all. :) I agree that the low notes don't sound all that clean. I think you're right that part of it is my lack of vocal skills and part of it is a questionable compositional choice. Thanks again for all the tips with the vocals! God knows I need them. ^^

It's a 3 from me.
I think it's good but you should never make it this loud. First impression from someone ignorant to production, they'd click off before hearing the potential. Remember every device proccesses audio differently and if you wanted this on a store platform you'd have to turn it down otherwise it will distort your audio. I think Zelazon said -3 is best place to volume the track.
Also many mistakes making their synths too high. Music theory suggests instruments too far away from mid range makes it sound disconnected. You can do high notes but just keep closer to the midrange. Tip: If you don't like how it sounds in one octave change the key don't push it to a higher octave.

Let your next track be your greatest. I feel my review along with everyone else will make you become a great producer as you have the effects and knowledge on making a track...just really easy things to learn from! Good luck friend.

AceTAD responds:

Ok
Thanks!

:51 I love the vocals.

Pretty good. Kind of reminds me of Urbz: Sims in the city.

The brass at 1:08 was a tad too loud.

The overall product was pretty good. Kind of reminded me of Super Mario 64 when you are in that ocean level (do you know what I am talking about). It was just smooth, dreamy music?

What are the vocals saying? XD "Can someone hand him his ticket?"

You already know what I think. I don't even gotta say it.

For the most part it's good but dont you think the kick is a bit too loud? You can see it too in the waveform.

Update:
That's true but I recommend comparing it to other tracks as being the listener and creator isn't always the best to judge your own track. Give a pro of same genre a listen. You might end up feeling it is too loud. Just an observation though. It's cool if you don't agree. ☺ good luck in competition.

ShockblastDeluxe responds:

As far as I can hear, the kick sounds just fine. The kicks generally have to be loud so you can hear the lower frequencies enough.

I don't know if I'll try to fix it.

Thanks, though!
